Natalie Borghi is a Sydney based illustrator and graphic designer. Recently graduated with a bachelor of design in Visual Communication, she developed a passion for illustration whilst studying and often incorporates illustrations into her designs. The inclusion of hand generated elements can add flair to a body of work and create a more personal connection with the audience. She often uses mediums including gouache, ink, graphite and digital art.
Introduced to digital painting in 2012, Natalie is self-taught and has taken a recent interest in drawing portraits, inspired by other illustrators including Loish and Natalie Foss. Her key aim is to capture beauty in all different types of faces. The use of substituting hair with negative space accentuates the subjects' face and facial features. Each portrait for sale has been produced in 2017, and Natalie is proud of how far she has progressed with her digital painting.
Besides art, Natalie also enjoys cooking and baking (especially macarons!), adventurous walks, watching live music, travelling, dogs, and playing the guitar.
